What is Pasur?
Pasur (also called Chahar Barg or “Eleven”) is a Persian fishing card game played with a standard 52-card deck. Players take turns playing one card to capture cards from the table; captured cards score at the end of each hand. The first player to reach the target score wins.
Players and settings
- 2–4 players, each for themselves. The host can fill empty seats with bots.
- Target score: 31, 62 (default), 100 or 150.
- Turn timer: 15, 30 (default), 45 or 60 seconds. Run out of time and a card is played for you.
- Free voice chat in online rooms.
The deal
Each player gets 4 cards and 4 cards go face up on the table. No Jack may start on the table — it goes back into the deck and is replaced. When everyone’s hand is empty, each player gets 4 more (no new table cards). The dealer rotates every hand and the player after the dealer starts.
Your turn: how to capture
- Number cards (Ace = 1 to 10): capture table cards that add up to 11 with your card — one card or several. A 4 can take a 7, or a 3 and a 4.
- Jack: takes every number card and Jack on the table — but not Kings or Queens.
- Queen takes one Queen; King takes one King.
- If your card can capture, it must; otherwise it stays on the table. With several options, the app asks which set to take.
What is a sur?
Clear the whole table with a capture and you score a sur — 5 points! A sur doesn’t count with a Jack or on the last play of the hand.
Pasur scoring
| Item | Points |
|---|---|
| Most clubs (a tie gives nobody the points) | 7 |
| Two of clubs (2♣) | 2 |
| Ten of diamonds (10♦) | 3 |
| Each Ace | 1 |
| Each Jack | 1 |
| Each sur | 5 |
That is 20 points per hand plus surs. Cards left on the table at the end go to the last player who captured.
Who wins?
Scores carry over between hands. The first player to reach 62 (or the host’s target) with the single highest score wins. If the top score is tied, another hand is played. The next hand starts automatically after 30 seconds, or sooner when the host taps it.
Pasur strategy tips
- Save your Jacks — a Jack on a crowded table is the best move in the game.
- Don’t leave cards that let the next player make 11.
- Count clubs: the 7 points for most clubs often decide the hand.
- Watch the 10♦ and 2♣ — 5 points in two cards!
